  29. 3.  HOW TO INSTALL THE PLUGIN

  31.     Quit Sherlock (if its running).  Drop the Sustworks.src plugin file on to your system folder icon.  The MacOS will automatically place the file in the appropriate Sherlock subfolder of the system folder.  In some versions of the OS, you may have to restart your Mac for the plugin to be registered properly with Sherlock.

  34. 4.  ABOUT THE SUSTWORKS PLUGIN

  36.     Sustworks Sherlock plugin searches the Sustainable Softworks website and the last six months of the Nettalk email list server.  The main contents of the Nettalk archives emails are related to three Sustainable Softworks products--IPNetRouter, IPNetMonitor, and OT Advanced Tuner.  Topics range across the full gamut of Internet Sharing, performance tuning, and general network troubleshooting.  For info on how to join Nettalk, visit our main support page at our web site...

Sustainable Softworks distributes and sells its Mac networking products via a demoware distribution model.  Currently we have three main products that you are welcome to download from our web site and use for 21 days free of charge.  At the end of 21 days a paid registration key is then required if you wish to continue to use our software.  All features of the software are available during the 21 day trial period.

  56.     The relevency order of hits are determined in the following way.  Hits on our web site are given the highest relevency.  Nettalk archive hits are given higher relevency the closer to the present date that they are; the oldest emails are given the least relevency.  Its hard to say which will have the most relevant info regarding any term you are searching under.  We chose this method to mirror our seach engine returns from our site search engine.

  58.     To search more or less of the Nettalk archives, open the plugin with a text editor, such as BBEdit, and change the date value to the number of months you wish to have the plugin regularly search.  The default is 6 (months).
